Title Description

Big red trucks. Flashing lights. Loud sirens. This program explores the careers of firefighters beyond the usual associations that children have. By spending a day a the fire department, youngsters learn from actual firefighters about the science, math, and reading skills they use everyday, how they help the community stay safe from fire and other hazards, and why exercise and good nutrition are important to successful firefighters. Crucial fire safety information, such as the "Fire Triangle", is included.
